How we united

It started on a porch in Sarasota.

Covergirl was born from a series of unexpected connections, longtime friendships, and a little bit of musical fate. Lynn, the voice behind Covergirl, moved to Sarasota after spending nearly a decade in Boston performing as a professional wedding singer. Not long after arriving, she met Daniel, the lead singer and guitarist of his own cover band, The Bandits. The moment Daniel heard Lynn sing, he knew he wanted her in the band - and Lynn felt the same way. Before long, Lynn & The Bandits was born, bringing together two powerful musical personalities and creating the beginning of what would eventually become Covergirl.

As they continued performing, Lynn and Daniel had the opportunity to meet and work alongside the incredibly talented musician and producer John Hetherington. The chemistry was immediate, and before long, the three realized they had something special and decided to build a new band together from the ground up. John then introduced the group to drummer Jack Fletcher, whose incredible musicianship and energy made him the perfect addition. And then came another connection that could have only happened by chance: Daniel and bassist Gabriel Gutierrez had actually grown up together in Venezuela - as neighbors and best friends who did practically everything together, including playing music side by side. At 18, Daniel moved back to North America, and life took them in completely different directions. Years later, Gabriel married a woman whose family happened to live in Sarasota, eventually bringing him to the very same city. Somehow, after all those years and thousands of miles between them, Daniel and Gabriel found themselves living in the same town, playing music together again.

With John, Jack, Gabriel, Daniel, and Lynn all finally in the same place, the pieces fell into place. What started as a chance meeting between two musicians grew into a band built on friendship, history, chemistry, and a shared love of performing. And that’s how Covergirl came to be - five musicians, five different journeys, and one very unlikely story that brought them all to the same stage.
